EXECUTIVE & GOVERNANCE

Prime Minister: YAB DATO’ SRI ISMAIL SABRI YAAKOB

For the word of the LORD is upright, and all His work is trustworthy. The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of His loving devotion.

Psalms 33:4-5

  • Pray for godly wisdom and guidance be granted to the Prime Minister as he is entrusted with this high office that oversees the affairs of the nation.
  • Pray that our current Prime Minister will not be pressured by any political powers to act unjustly and out of alignment to the will of God for our nation’s interest.
  • Pray that God will raise up honest, trustworthy, wise and God-fearing men and women in every branch of the PM’s office that will assist the PM in his task.
  • Pray for the reconvening of Parliament to be normalized as required so that this administration will be accountable in the sight of the king and citizens of this land.
  • Pray especially that the timing of the next general election will follow God’s decreed time line.

 

LAW & PARLIAMENT (Parlimen dan Undang-Undang)

Minister: YB Datuk Seri Dr Haji Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar

Deputy Minister: YB Datuk Wira Hajah Mas Ermieyati Samsuddin

  • Pray that the Parliament Administrator, Deputies and Secretaries of House of Senate and of the House of Representatives be faithful in discharging their office in matters related to the Parliament’s administration, discipline and conduct, and regulation of procedures pertaining to each house.
  • Pray that the rights and immunity privileges granted to each member are used in accordance to the spirit of the Constitution.
  • There is a proposal to re-establish a dedicated law ministry with the Legal Affairs Division (BHEUU) as its core organisation to ensure matters related to law amendments are implemented more efficiently. Pray for wisdom in all involved as they carefully consider merits and drawbacks reverting this department into a full fledge ministry which, prior to the current form, was dissolved and subsumed into the PM’s office in 1995.
  • Pray for wisdom and discernment in consideration of the laws proposed or amended, that they be righteous, equitable and just in the sight of God.

Lord, we ask that laws that ensure justice and righteousness in this land will be approved, and those that deviate from that desire of Yours will be nullified.

  • Pray for faithfulness in discharging laws in relation to the administration of courts, trustees, children’s court, legal aid bureau, department of insolvency, arbitration, child protection witness and whistleblower protection.
  • Pray that the Ministry will give careful and due consideration to feedbacks from the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) and other parties in the Parliament, so that laws drafted or existing laws amended are humane, just and equitable.
  • God’s sovereign hand over the selection of men and women in the roles of Secretariat of the Pardon Board, Regional Director of Arbitration Centre, Human Rights Commissioners, Advisor to the Children’s Court.

 

RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS (Hal Ehwal Agama)

Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; bring an offering and come before Him. Worship the LORD in the splendour of His holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth!

1 Chron 16:29-30

  • Pray for faithfulness and wisdom in administration of the courts of law governing religious affairs. Pray that there is a fear of God in the hearts of those executing the laws.

Lord, we ask that the spirit of religiosity will be broken, and that laws and policies governing the Muslims will not oppress them.

  • Pray that the proper administration of the courts of law in all territories and states are respected within their boundaries and jurisdiction as established in the Federal Constitution.
  • Pray that those who make policy decisions with regards to religious laws will encounter the Truth and seek to uphold justice and righteousness through the policies proposed.
