PRAYER FOR THE GOVERNMENT – CABINET OF MALAYSIA

Lord, we bring the Prime Minister and the Cabinet before you.

We ask that You give them:

• A spirit of oneness that will cause all of them to love the nation and people. They will put aside personal and party agendas to achieve common goals. You will give them wisdom to work on projects across ministry lines, and there will be much cooperation between different departments.
• A spirit of humility to seek counsel from others and not to be taken up by human ego or distracted by the power struggles all around them.
• A spirit of wisdom – for a spirit of divine wisdom to be given to our Prime Minister and his team as they lead and govern this nation. We ask that this wisdom coming from heaven will bring purity of heart and love for peace. This wisdom will also make them considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. (James 3: 13-18)
• A spirit of discernment and knowledge to help them discern between ungodly and godly wisdom and counsel.
• A spirit of peace in their mindset so that they will not give in to the spirit of craftiness, betrayal, deceit and manipulation.

We pray for a shield to protect them against witchcraft, manipulation, infirmities and sudden disasters.

We pray especially for the spirit of betrayal to have no place in this Cabinet, and a new spirit of trust to arise – trust in God, trust in one another and trust in new processes.

We pray for their families also to be protected by the blood of Jesus.
