PRAYER FOR NATION – February 2026

Fresh Anointing for Togetherness in Families and in the Body of Christ

In these last days, one of the most important work that God wants to do among His people is to heal and restore relationships among families and also the church, the family of God.

5“See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes. 6He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction.” Malachi 4:5-6

In fact, relationships are so important to Jesus that He tells us:

PRAYER

  • 1. Ask the Holy Spirit to search our hearts for offences.

Lord, I stand before You on this new day and ask that You search my heart.

Thank You Lord, that You are love itself. In love, You sent Jesus to take our sins upon His Body on the cross and die in our place that we might be reconciled to You. You also said that anyone who loves God must also love his/her brother and sister.

So show me areas in my relationships that are displeasing to You. If there are any unresolved offences or grudges that I have kept in my heart, be it recently or way back to the past, please reveal them to me, I pray.

[Pause and let Holy Spirit speak]

Thank You Lord, for speaking to me. Grant me the grace, wisdom and courage to make things right the way You want me to.

Help me O Lord, to be kind and tender-hearted, forgiving those who have hurt or offended me, even as You have, in Christ, forgiven me (Eph 4:32). You know and understand the pain that I have gone through, You bore it for me on the cross. I release it all to You.

Thank You Lord, by Your stripes, my pain is healed. I am set free from anger and bitterness! And I can forgive from the depths of my heart as You have forgiven me. I am a new creation! The old has gone, the new is here! By Your grace, I can forgive even up to seventy times seven times, in Jesus’ name!

  • 2. Bible Reading (2 Corinthians 5:14-19)

Scripture References: 1 John 4:21; Ephesians 4:32, Isaiah 53:5; 2 Corinthians 5:14-20; Matthew 18:35

 14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again. 16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

  • 3. Ask God to make us ministers of reconciliation.

Heavenly Father, You are the Restorer of our soul. You restored us to Yourself and healed our broken relationship. It is not us who loved You but it was You who loved us and gave Your only Son, Jesus as an atoning sacrifice for our sin. You were in Christ, reconciling us to Yourself and now You give to us the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18-19).

So Lord, may You reveal to me different ones to whom I can be a minister of reconciliation.  Please show me areas of conflicts around me where I can be a peacemaker. Help me, I pray, to bring Your forgiveness & healing to these relationships.

As St Francis of Assisi prayed,  O Lord, make me a vessel of Your peace:

Where there is hatred, let me sow love;

Where there is injury, pardon;

Where there is doubt, faith;

Where there is despair, hope;

Where there is darkness, light;

Where there is sadness, joy.

Lord, make me Your vessel of peace, I pray.

DECLARATION

Thank You LORD, in this new day, You are bringing Your Church together as One in You. In Christ Jesus, we who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. You Yourself are our peace and You have broken down the middle wall of separation.

We declare no weapon formed against us will prosper.

We forgive everyone who has sinned against us, so that the enemy should not outwit us for we are not unaware of His schemes (2 Cor 2:11).

We declare a New Day where relationships in families and within Your Church are healed and whole. We declare Your Church will walk as One as You are One!

Let the wind of the Holy Spirit blow across this land, speaking love and forgiveness to every heart. Let hardened hearts be softened and yielded to the gentle voice of the Holy Spirit. Let every broken family and church tie be rebuilt and long fractured relationships be mended, in Jesus’ name.

We declare that this will even lead to the greater healing of all inter-ethnic relationships across the nation!

You are our Lord, the Healer of broken hearts, the Reconciler of broken relationships, the Restorer of the years the locusts have eaten. You have come to set Your people free!

We declare the day is coming where God will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers. A day where, to those who fear the name of the LORD, the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings, and our lives will never be the same again, in Jesus’ name! (Malachi 4:2-6)
