MUFW PRAYER GUIDE ON THE GOVERNMENT – PART 2

For this month, we will feature the following ministries in our government.

Pray that all government servants will serve willingly. Pray too that they will be passionate and diligent, be duly appreciated and well trained as they run the machinery of the government.

Ministries featured:

MINISTRY OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION (MOSTI)

Minister: YB Dato Sri Dr Adham bin Baba

The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) is to spearhead Science, Technology and Innovation research and development (R&D) projects to address and respond to national issues and challenges for societal wellbeing and sustainable development, achieved through scientific approval, advanced technology and capacity building.

  • Lord, we thank you for technology during this whole pandemic time that it enables us to still be connected through online meetings, online studies, church services, prayer altars and cell meetings. Office workers are able to do their work from home through internet connectivity.
  • Pray that MOSTI will expand and advance their Internet services to more remote parts of the nation. Pray that none will be left behind.
  • Pray for those who have great innovative ability to receive funding from the government so that the innovation and technology will be developed in Malaysia and will not be lost to other nations.
  • Grant the disabled and handicapped (OKU Community) more access to media.
  • Science and technology, as a tool, can pose ethical and moral issues. Pray that MOSTI’s Minister and departmental leaders will have godly wisdom and discernment to use innovative tools with righteousness, fairness, justice and competence.
  • Pray for no misuse or abuse of scientific or technological knowledge for selfish and evil purposes.
  • Pray MOSTI to have strong and safe data guidelines when making decisions to protect the privacy and security of personal and sensitive data.
  • Pray for fairness in the Ministry’s Industrial Training Programs for all races, so as to fulfil the current government’s concept of “Keluarga Malaysia”.

 

MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT (MOT)

Minister: Dato’ Seri Ir. Dr. Wee Ka Siong

Deputy Minister: Dato Henry Sum Agong

Isaiah 35:8: And a highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Way of Holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it. It shall belong to those who walk on the way; even if they are fools, they shall not go astray.

Proverbs 16:17: The highway of the upright leads away from evil; he who guards his way protects his life.

  • Father, give these men wisdom that they will be able to discern between good and evil, and to always choose good.
  • Pray for unity between federal and state governments, and private and public sectors to work together as they carry out project mandates that are beneficial to nation building and not for personal interest.
  • Pray that on-going mega projects to connect urban and rural areas will serve to improve the quality of life, especially those in the rural areas, instead of just being redundant projects.
  • Pray that those planning and working on these projects will have godly wisdom as they carry out their work.
  • Pray against selfish ambitions and unjust dealings that benefit only a few players. Pray that money allocated to the projects is administered in an equitable manner.

 

MINISTRY OF WORKS (MOW)

Minister: Dato’ Seri Haji Fadillah bin Yusof

Deputy Minister: Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup

Matthew 7:24-27:

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”  

  • Pray for the unity and coordination between federal and state governments, and private and public sectors to work together as they carry out repair works after the flood.
  • Pray for proper management of funds and resources. Pray for unjust allocations and dealings to be exposed. Pray that the funds allocated for the rebuilding after the flood will be put to proper use.
  • Pray against selfish ambitions and those who clamour for position and power to enrich themselves. Pray that the money allocated on -projects is administered in an equitable manner and put towards works that will bring blessings to the lives of the people, instead of the projects ending up being redundant.
  • Pray for children of God to partner with God in nation building. Pray that engineers, civil servants and workers with integrity, conscience and the fear of the Lord to be raised up in these ministries so that the construction and building work will be executed righteously.
  • Pray that those in positions of power will have the wisdom to know how to build the infrastructure connecting the rural and the urban, so that the more remote communities will have better access to supplies, education and medical care.

 

MINISTRY OF COMMUNICATIONS & MULTIMEDIA (MCMC)

Minister: YB Tan Sri Datuk Seri Haji Annuar bin Haji Musa

Deputy Minister: YB Datuk Zahidi bin Zainul Abidin

John 8:32

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

  • Pray for wisdom and discernment to come over the Minister and the personnel in the ministry to manage the information that is allowed through the internet, films and television. Pray especially that truth will always prevail and any falsehood and lies will not be allowed to be propagated.
  • Pray that the decision makers in this ministry will not manipulate information that pass through the multimedia and information portals, but that they will realize the weight of their decisions in causing the people to know the truth.
  • Pray that the enhancement of broadband infrastructure will be executed to reach those in remote areas so that the Gospel can go forth where man cannot reach.
  • Pray that the multimedia super corridor will be a highway of holiness where the unclean and unwholesome will not pass through. Instead, it will be a channel of God’s truth. Lord, open our eyes to understand that Your ways are higher than our ways, and that there is a big difference between Your truth and the world’s information.
  • Pray against corruption and bribery in this sector which has allowed the resources allocated to the building of communication and multimedia infrastructure to be delayed or hampered.
