PRAYER FOR GOVERNMENT

FOREIGN DIPLOMACY AND NATIONAL SECURITY

Father, we pray that You will make Malaysia majestic forever, and a joy from age to age. We long for the day when nations will gather together to come to us, bringing the abundance of the sea and their wealth into the land of Malaysia. Within Malaysia’s borders, we pray that violence shall no more be heard, devastation or destruction will cease, and Malaysia’s walls shall be called Salvation, and her gates Praise (Isaiah 60:15-18).

We bring the Ministries of Defence, Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs before You and ask that Your plans and purposes for the nation in these areas to come to pass. We pray that Your justice, righteousness and mercy be poured out over these ministries.

DECLARATION AND PRAYER

Father, we thank you that it is You who gives us knowledge of things and it is You who uncovers the plans of the enemy (Jeremiah 11:18). Father, we repent for not seeking you wholeheartedly with regards to Malaysia, and many a times we have fixed our eyes on men instead of Jesus, the perfector of Malaysia.

Lord, it is You that builds Malaysia and unless we partner with You, everything we do is in vain (Psalm 127:1). Lord, help us to recognize that partnering with You is the best strategy.

Forgive us for relying on the finite wisdom and strength of men, instead of tapping on Your unlimited resources. Father, we thank You that You who began a good work in Malaysia will carry it to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).

Father, we come before You to repent on behalf of our nation for participating in bribery and corruption for selfish reasons. Lord, we repent for overlooking it as something that is part of life when it is not. Lord, how can we ask for righteousness and justice to be restored when we are participants of injustice? Convict us so that we will turn from our wicked ways, and restore our sight so that we will no longer accept bribery or corruption as part of life (Exodus 23:8).

We give thanks to You that as we present these prayers before You we will receive mercy and grace to help us in this time of need. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
