PRAYER FOR WEEKS 21 & 22 – CALL TO ACTION: 21 DAYS TO PRAY AND PROTECT

(19 July – 1 August 2021)

From 19 July to 9 August, we encourage you to gather in small groups in your cell/ church/ prayer networks/ pastoral fellowships to pray and protect each other for at least one hour a week.

PRAY

for our nation
for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit

John 7: 37-38 Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

PROTECT by blessing one another

Prayers of blessing cover one another in love. We use scripture as God’s word brings life. (You can choose any scripture to do this. The prayer leader can declare this over the group at the end of prayer time.)

Psalm 23

1 The Lord is (name the people in your group) Shepherd, we will lack nothing.

2 He makes us lie down in green pastures, He leads us beside quiet waters,

3 He refreshes our soul. He guides us along the right paths for His Name’s sake.

4 Even though we walk through the darkest valley,

(name the people in your group) will fear no evil, for You are with us all;

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort us.

5 You prepare a table before us in the presence of our enemies.

You anoint our head with oil; our cup overflows.

6 Surely Your goodness and love will follow all of us all the days of our lives,

and we (or name your group members) will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen.
