PRAYER FOR NATION – CONTENDING as ONE

“If the Church or Ekklesia in these last days is to fulfil the great commission and establish justice in the earth, then she must renounce fear and fatalism and recover the fierce faith of Paul’s frontal attack against the forces of darkness that keep souls bound in the most desperate spiritual and physical captivity.  She must return to a wrestling and throwing down of spiritual adversaries in the darkest, hardest places of the earth. 

God is raising up His house of prayer in the earth to contend with abortion, sex trafficking, false religions and false ideologies, against every house that exalts itself above the lordship and supremacy of Christ.” ~ Lou Engle

 

Isaiah 49:24-25

Shall the prey be taken from the mighty,

Or the captives of the righteous be delivered?

But thus says the LORD:

“Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away,

And the prey of the terrible be delivered;

For I will contend with him who contends with you,

And I will save your children.”

 

PRAYER:

Loving Father, we are deeply thankful that we are in a covenant relationship with You.  We have been adopted into sonship and experience the unconditional love of a heavenly Father. We recognise that it is only as we know You as our loving Father, that we learn to trust in You implicitly, knowing You will never fail us, nor forsake us.

Teach us, O Lord, to take hold of our inheritance in Christ in this season to contend for the things that are on Your heart, that we may see Your glory revealed in our lives, in Your Body and in our Nation.

 

The Ekklesia, the Body of Christ, is called to be a House of Prayer for all Nations, to contend for what is on God’s heart for His Church and for the destiny of Malaysia.

 

TOGETHER WE STAND UNITED TO:

  1. Contend for the Ekklesia as ONE BODY  

Lord, You have said You will build Your church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And You will give us the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Matthew 16:18-19 NKJV

  • We ask, Almighty God, that You will bring us into alignment as ONE BODY with ONE PURPOSE to see Your kingdom come and Your will be done in Malaysia.
  • For too long, Your Church has been fractured through lies and deception sown by the enemy resulting in distrust and disunity, loss of joy, vision and voice.
  • We now declare that this veil over our eyes, minds and hearts be removed, so that we see united strength returning, and we hear the sound of spiritual awakening and the voice of unity, oneness and authority rising from a mighty army to reclaim what the enemy has stolen.
  • We speak restoration of first love for Jesus to every believer, and particularly to those whose hearts have been captured by the spirit of the world, and the restoration of passion for the love of the Word, for prayer and for fellowship with the people of God.
  • O Lord, we declare this is the season for Your church throughout our nation to arise! Lord, we stand as ONE upon Your promises and pursue our enemy until we recover all!

 

  1. Contend for the Harvest of Souls (especially in this month as we celebrate Good Friday and Easter)
  • Lord, we praise You this is the season of the Passover and Easter. YOU have shed Your blood to atone for the sins of all. Today we declare that the forgiveness of sins and the redemption of souls will be declared throughout the land.
  • We declare that this gospel of the Kingdom will be preached boldly in every church. May no one miss out from this great outpouring of grace and salvation.
  • We declare an open heaven over our friends and families, so that many hearts will be opened to the Good News of Christ.
  • May there be a mighty release of the power of the Resurrected Christ, so that we will set captives free, open prison doors and bring healing and deliverance to the oppressed.

  1. Contend for Peace, Justice, Law and Order in our Land   
  • Lord, we stand together to contend against every dark force that seeks to cripple our nation with chaos, disorder, division and injustice.
  • We pray for an angelic protection over all who work to bring peace, order and justice to our nation.
  • We ask that every force of darkness and every demonic assignment be nullified in Jesus’ Name.
  • We declare that the plans and purposes of the dark forces will be dismantled.
  • We declare that the God of Peace will soon crush Satan underneath His feet. (Romans 16:20)

 

  1. Contend for the Gates of our States to be open

Psalm 24:7-8

Lift up your heads, O you gates of (name the state)!

And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!

And the King of glory shall come in.

8 Who is this King of glory?

The LORD strong and mighty,

The LORD mighty in battle.

 

Lord, we welcome You, O King of Glory, into our states (name the states).

We declare an open heaven as we build these holy altars in each state to welcome the King of Glory.

We pray especially for these states: Selangor, Kelantan, Terengganu, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah and Penang that the King of Glory will come in

  • to silence the voice of evildoers and render all their wicked plans ineffective.
  • to demolish the strongholds of lies and deceptions over the minds of the people, causing disunity and distrust amongst races in our land.
  • to speak discernment and protection from evil propaganda over the people in our land.

We contend for anointed, uncompromising and courageous leaders to arise, ruling with wisdom and authority.

 

PRAYER

Father, we hear you telling us to be ready! Cause us to be ready! May we hear Your voice teaching us how to contend and take territory for Your Kingdom. May Your people rise up to “seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness”.  We prophesy life and breath to the Ekklesia that she will rise up as an exceedingly great army and a radiant Bride, ready for Your Return!

We will make room for You, Lord Jesus, to do whatever You want to. Have Your way, Lord Jesus!

We declare Your glory come and fill Malaysia, a rainbow nation, as the waters cover the sea.

We decree that Your glory will fill our nation, that the name of Jesus will be lifted high over our land, that our shame will be removed, our nation will prosper, racial healing will take place, righteous and just leaders will arise in our land.

We decree that we will not be shaken even in troubled times, but together as One, with the Spirit upon us, we will “lay hold of God and shall pursue our enemies relentlessly, overtake them and recover all”. (1 Sam 30:8)

YOURS is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory Forever and Ever, AMEN!
